“It started with a…pizza, refreshing beverage, conversation, and a passion to own a furniture business with my wife Patty,” says Dan Leavitt (co-owner of the Montage and The Amish Barn). This year we are celebrating our 20th year in our family business. “I can hardly believe it’s been 20 years.” One afternoon, 20 years ago, my wife and I walked into the local Pizza Restaurant Barn in McFarland and walked out with a plan. We took the plunge and went into the furniture business. We saw potential in the Pizza Barn and turned it into our dream, a unique place to shop with unusual and interesting merchandise you don’t see on every street corner. After accumulation 25 years of experience in the furniture business, we felt we had a good idea for a niche that needed to be filled.

Now, after 20 years, three expansions, and growth to two locations, we are thanking our loyal customers for supporting family business, welcoming our new customers, and looking forward to another 20 years! Furniture, it’s our passion!
